Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Hello, I'm Jona Dae

Artist, Writer, and the Soul Behind The Boho Soul Boutique

My journey is one of profound transformation—from the depths of addiction, anxiety, and depression to a life reclaimed through the healing power of art, restoration, and the written word.

What once felt irrevocably broken within me began to mend as I poured my energy into restoring discarded furniture. The sanding, the painting, the rebuilding—it became a form of moving meditation and raw art therapy. In this process, I discovered the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi—the art of mending broken things with gold. Instead of hiding scars, it celebrates them as a beautiful, essential part of the story.

This philosophy is the beating heart of everything I create. At The Boho Soul Boutique, I don't just refinish furniture; I create pieces that tell a story. Like us, they have a past, but they are given a vibrant, beautiful new beginning.

Grit, Grace, and the Pages In Between

Because healing is never just external, my creative mission extends far beyond the workshop. Alongside my brushes, my journals and blog serve as my canvas. Writing is where I process the raw, unfiltered chapters of my life journey, navigate complex family dynamics, and document the continuous path of personal growth.

Through my blog and upcoming book chapters, I share the grit and grace it takes to rebuild a life from the ground up. This duality of fixing what is broken—both on a wooden vanity and within my own soul—has given me a distinct purpose. It has made me a better mother, a truer sister, and a more present friend.

My mission is to help you see the ultimate value and beauty in what was once considered broken, to encourage you to find strength in your own scars, and to inspire you to embrace your most authentic self.

I invite you to explore my latest furniture pieces, dive into my journals, or simply find comfort in the beauty of second chances.

'I’m curious—have you ever found a sense of home in a place you once tried to leave behind? If you’re also in the middle of your own "healing situation," I’d love to hear your story.'

'With grit and grace, Jona Dae'
